March 13th Goes to Sydney

Our recent short film March 13th has been accepted into the Fantastic Planet Film Festival. We are super excited and kind of bummed that we couldn’t drop the cash to go. Thank you to the entire cast and crew for you wonder full contributions and support. The movie wouldn’t have been half as good without you. More news on other festivals and a trailer coming soon. I promise.

We are also in our last few days of post for our new short film, Monster Under the Bed. We are very excited about this one and can’t wait to share it with you all.

Also Phillip Hughes, Director at Uncanny, has been accepted to USC’s School of Cinematic Arts for Graduate studies in Directing. So it looks like we are moving to LA.

And finally if you want to hear us gab about the difficulties about the industry and about movies in general please check out our new podcast now on itunes. You can find us by typing in Uncanny Filmmaker. We promise you will laugh and cry… hopefully in a good way.

Happy Filmmaking!

Our Newest Short March 13th gets sent off to festivals

This past summer we produced our latest short March 13th starring one of our favorite Albuquerque actors, Ryan Jason Cook. We are very proud of the finished product and have currently sent out the short to 10 film festivals. We have already received two rejections, one from Sundance and the other from Slamdance but both of those festivals are extremely competitive. We had, I think, less than a one percent chance to make it into either of the two festivals. So we’re not feeling to bad about that one and wish a big congratulations to the films that made it in. The next one we should hear about should be South by Southwest. So wish us luck with that one.

Cheers!

Jenn
